Every person always wants something.

You want money, prestige, security, etc. from your job. Friendship, companionship, reassurance, sex, etc. from your lover. Brother/sisterhood from your friends. Admiration from your siblings. Respect from your parents, and so on.

Know this. Understand this. And act accordingly.

It is much easier for you to get what you want from other people when you are providing them with what they want.
