This morning, I understood.
I have always known ‘in my head’ that everything always works out. I recently was taught that “everything is working out for my favour” and today I realised and truly knew that EVERYTHING IS working out for MY FAVOUR.
- When I worked in consulting and got dissatisfied with my career path, I got the inspiration to become an entrepreneur in the restaurant business. Even though my then bosses offered me an equity piece in the business to stay, I turned it out and left.
- I was unable to launch the restaurant and out of frustration, applied for my Master’s degree in Cape Town.
- Had I chosen to settle and work in South Africa, I would probably have never come back to Nairobi, been unable to get work and start consulting.
- Had I not started consulting I would not have gotten a client (James) who later ended up hiring me as his assistant on a transformation project for a private university. I did such a good job in this role that, to date, I am still reaping from the friends and networks that I built at the university.
- Had James given me the promotion that I had worked for over a 3 year period, I would not have been dissatisfied and sought a mentor.
- Had I not sought a mentor, I would never have met Farouk who later offered me a job.
- Had I not accepted that job, and even though Farouk left within 6 months of my joining, I would never have found myself in my current role which Farouk used to perform.
And so on… 😉
Everything has worked for my favour. Even when things seemed as though they were not working out, they were! They always are. Everything is working out for my favour.
Knowing this, I know that I am living my fate. All I can do is win. There are no mistakes. I need not strive nor stress.
All I need to do is my best, take on all the tasks and responsibilities that come my way, treat people well, listen to my intuition and act with courage when I am inspired, relax and enjoy life.
Everything is working out for my favour.
